Within the annual MakeLearn, TIIM & PIConf International Conference, held from 21 to 23 May 2026 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and organized by ISSBS, Slovenia, and its partners, the Erasmus+ project Fostering digital transformation of science in Kenya and Tanzania (FOSTER) was presented to approximately 250 participants, including around 150 onsite attendees and 100 online participants. After the conference, the proceedings will be published, further enhancing the project’s visibility.

FOSTER project was presented during the ‘Project Opportunities Panel’ on 22 May. On the same day, the project was also featured in a conference session through the presentation entitled Advancing Open Science Globally: Lessons from Erasmus+ Initiatives in Africa and Asia (authors: Anica Novak Trunk and Valerij Dermol both from International School for Social and Business Studies, Slovenia, Grace Mbogo from Daystar University, Kenya, and Shaliza Ibrahim from University Malaya, Malaysia)

Participants showed strong interest in the project results, especially the open science infrastructure, open science training programmes, and the open educational resources available on elearningproject.eu .
